Congregation Council and Committee Members Founded in 1861, St. Paul's is one of the largest Lutheran churches in the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod, a geographic area that includes Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties. Together in community, we live out our Christian vocation in worship, by learning together, in fellowship with one another and in service toward each other and the world.
Mission: Rich in heritage, our mission is to affirm through baptism that our worth is a divine gift, not a human achievement. ***************************************************************** Stephen Ministry Everyone goes through difficult times. Having someone to care, to listen, to share God’s love with you can help you get through the confusion, stress, or loneliness you may be experiencing. God does not intend for you to struggle alone.Stephen Ministry is our congregation’s one-to-one caregiving ministry. God works through Stephen Ministers to plant a seed of hope and healing in a person whose life seems barren and forlorn because of some crisis or tragedy. Since 2005, 30 laypeople have gone through 50+ hours of training in order to provide quality one-to-one Christian care to hurting people. Our lay caregivers (called Stephen Ministers) provide care to the bereaved, hospitalized, terminally ill, separated, divorced, unemployed, relocated, and others facing a crisis or life challenge. Stephen Ministry helps pastors and congregations provide quality caring ministry for as long as people need it. Are you in need of a caring Christian who will listen, empathize, encourage, pray, provide confidential care, and patiently support you as you work through a crisis or difficult time? Do you know someone perhaps a friend, neighbor, coworker, colleague, or relative, who could benefit from this type of care? If you would like to be involved in this ministry, either as a Stephen Minister or as one who receives care from a Stephen Minister, please contact Pastor Wesch: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it PRAYER FOR THE MONTH God, we pray today for our Stephen Ministry care receivers. Though their names and situations remain confidential, you know who they are and what life situations are troubling them. We ask you to calm the storm and bring peace and tranquility into their lives. Help them to experience your love and salvation through their Stephen Ministers. Amen.
